Blade Babjee Movie Review
Deviprasad and Allari Naresh are successful in delivering a total comedy entertainer in Blade Babjee. This is one of the good films in the recent times providing ample entertainment.
Going into the story: Babjee and Co (Naresh, Ruthika, Harshavardhan, Khayyum) make their livelihood in small roberies. One fine day, the owner of the land (Jeeva) decides to sell the land and gives notice to all to vacate. But he gives 3 months time to the Co to purchase the land themselves for 4 crores. Now Babjee and Co are on the plan to make the 4 crores. They rob a bank and save the money in a building under construction and go out on boat party. Circumstances force them to stay for a month in Andaman. When they return back they see that the building under construction is now a police control room. Now they have to some how get in. They will get in but realize there is no money in the bag. How did they get in and what happened to the money should be seen on the screen.
This is one of the roles that only Naresh could do. With his impeccable comedy timing, he carries the film from the being to the end. Sayali Bhagat is content in her role. Ruthika, Harsha Vardhan, Khayyum got good comedy out. Dharmavarapu, who is the highlight in Deviprasad's earlier Leelamahal Center, rocked in this film as S.I. LB Sriram, Apoorva, Brahmanandam, Hema, Srinivasa Reddy, Jayaprakash Reddy, Melkoti did justice to their roles and were successful in generating comedy.
The story of the film might resemble Blue Stick but with key differences. Director Deviprasad planned the film completely and executed it very well. A good tempo is maintained through out the film along with good comedy and that is where the film scores big. Music by Koti is good. Timing in the background score (Thammudu, Tagore scores) aptly fitted the timing in the film. Photography by Raju is good. Editing is very good.
Overall, Blade Babjee is a perfect comedy entertainer. The film is almost clean with good access to the families. Go and enjoy the film.
